Administrative and Filing Fee $750.00 per case​
This fee for establishing the case file includes appointment and notification, the calendaring of Hearing availability and location and general correspondence. Support staff, phone and computer charges are included. This onetime charge is due at the time of filing and is nonrefundable.

Arbitration Hearing Award Fees $425.00 per hour​
Charges for actual time spent at the Hearing, and for the preparation of the Award, which includes research and deliberation, are billed at an hourly rate per Arbitrator. Interim payments may be required from time to time.

Answer and/or Counterclaim $500.00 per case​
There is no charge for filing a response or Answer to a filed claim. However, there is a onetime charge to the Respondent for any submission of a Counterclaim. This fee is due at filing.

Postponement – $750.00
Once a Hearing date has been scheduled, a charge of $750.00, due with the request, will be assessed to the requesting party to reschedule.

Compliance Inspection – $425.00 per hour​
Inspection Fees for compliance inspections are billed at the hourly rate of $425.00 per hour, to the requesting party. Minimum of 2 hours.

Award Valuation – $425.00 per hour​
A fee in the amount of $425.00, payable by the requesting party, shall accompany any request for an Award Valuation.

Subpoenas for Document Production or Witness Appearance – $100.00​
Upon request, subpoena forms shall be forwarded to a party. Then, each completed form shall be returned to CAA, accompanied by a $100.00 administrative fee.

Hearing Cancellation / Settlement​
When the parties announce a settlement prior to a scheduled Hearing, a fee of $2500 is due from the parties.

Payment​
Applicable fees are due and payable as specified (Retainers specified in Hearing Notices or other forms of invoicing). Final invoices must be tendered in full prior to the delivery of an Award. Note that CAA does not accept credit card payments.  Payments are to tendered by check or ACH / bank draft. Checks are to be made payable to Construction Arbitration Associates, Ltd. For ACH payments, contact the case administrator for an ACH Authorization Form.

Transportation
Round trip air flights to and from Atlanta, Georgia to the closest major airport in coach class.

Personal Vehicle
For use of personal vehicle to and from the Hearing site, mileage to be charged at the standard rate determined annually by the Internal Revenue Service.

Car Rental
Charges for rental cars will be at the normal midsize rate, including fees and taxes, to and from the airport location to the Hearing site.

Accommodations
Lodging (room, tax and fees only) for nights as required will be at the single standard rate in a business class hotel.

Billing
An invoice for these expenses may be billed separately from the administrative and Arbitrator fees and, if so, will be due and payable upon receipt.
